Rockaway is our backyard. Our Wharton headquarters borders Rockaway Township, and our walkers drive Route 15, US 46, and the I-80 interchanges every day. Rockaway homes range from 19th-century houses near Borough Hall to lake communities like White Meadow Lake and Lake Telemark, and a lot of Rockaway dogs are home alone while their owners work at Picatinny Arsenal or commute out on I-80. We're the closest professional team you can book.

Each month we fundraise for one of these great causes and donate what we can to help them save as many lives as possible. We host Walkathons every year on various Holidays where we donate our entire day to one of these causes, with 100% of all proceeds going directly to them. Since 2022 we've raised over $72,000 and have helped hundreds of pets find their furever homes!

All dogs must pass our screening which includes 2 solo 30 minute walks the first week, (Current Pup Club members can skip this step), followed by a pack walk test with one of our current adventure daycare pups. Once completed they'll join us for an introductory day to see if they are a good fit for our pack.
Intro Days are $125 and include a personalized harness!
All of our Bi Weekly and Monthly Adventure clients must join our Pup Club by booking a minimum of one walk per week on any off weeks they're not in daycare. This ensures all of our Adventure Daycare pups retain the skills they've learned and stay familiar to our walkers.

Yes. Pups and Recreation carries full commercial liability insurance and is bonded. We can provide a certificate of insurance on request.
Yes. We walk in rain and snow. In extreme heat or cold we shorten the time outside and add indoor play, so your dog still gets attention without the safety risk. You'll see exactly what happened in your photo report card.
Yes, for clients who've already completed their free meet-and-greet. Because our Wharton office is next door, Rockaway is one of the easiest places for us to cover a same-day request.
Yes. We cover every street in Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township, including Mount Hope, Hibernia, and Green Pond.
Yes. We serve both lake communities. If your community has gate or resident-access rules, tell us at the meet-and-greet and we'll save the details in your secure client profile.
Standard dog walks and drop-in visits are $25 for 15 minutes, $35 for 30 minutes, $50 for 45 minutes, $60 for 60 minutes, $85 for 90 minutes, and $150 for 3 hours. Add $5 per additional pet. There are no holiday, weekend, or credit-card surcharges, ever. Book at least once a week on a recurring basis and you automatically join our Pup Club for member discounts and perks.
